Cancellation Policy:

A 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule a massage or reiki appointment. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a fee of 75% charge of the service, and appointments cancelled with less than two hours’ notice will be charged 100% of the service. If you cannot make it but can send a paying client in your place, you will not be charged any fees unless you have paid in advance, in which case a refund will reflect the amount paid minus the fee charged by the card service for reversal. Eligibility for any discounts or coupons may vary for the client sent in your place. No-shows will be charged 100% of the service scheduled. Gift Certificates intended for the session will become invalid in the case of a no-show or late cancellation.

In spite of the foreboding tone of the cancellation policy, I am still a compassionate person and understand that sometimes s**t happens. If the reason for your cancellation was an emergency or a result of circumstances beyond your control, do please contact me to see if we can work something out.

Portland is a city of unique winter experiences. In situations where inclement weather creates dangerous driving conditions, appointments will be rescheduled with no fees to you.

Client Confidentiality

Protecting client privacy is part of my practice. I do not disclose information about a client’s treatments with anyone, unless with other professionals and with the explicit consent of the client. Additionally, I do not make it known publicly that an individual is my client unless this client volunteers the information. The only situation in which I will disclose that an individual is a client is in the case of referrals,wherein the consent of disclosure from the client who has sent the referral has already been implied. No other confidential information will be shared.

LEGAL STUFF

Although a highly beneficial method of self care and unwinding tissue restrictions, massage therapy and reiki are not a substitute for medical care. A massage therapist cannot diagnose or treat medical issues or apply prescription medications. Oregon law requires the covering of breasts and genitals at all times.

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN TO  MY MASSAGE or reiki TREATMENT?

Of course! I understand that sometimes it is hard to break away from the family and take care of yourself, especially if you have young children. While the studio is not child-proofed, it does offer ample space for children to sprawl out and read or play  quietly while you get your massage or reiki treatment. I recommend a visit to the bathroom and a few minutes to set up and make sure your little ones are comfortable before we begin. This will (hopefully!) reduce the potential interruptions during your treatment.

MY PRACTICE IS NON-SEXUAL

I have a zero-tolerance policy with regards to associating my massage therapy practice with sexual services. All massage therapy is strictly professional and non-sexual. Any implications, suggestive or illicit language, sexual references or advances, will NOT be tolerated, and will result in the termination of the session with no refund and no future treatments. The Police will be notified if I feel in any way concerned for the safety of myself and others.
